Here are some fun facts to help you get to know our host, Ben Brooks:Professionally…🧢 Former SVP of HR for an F500 firm with a Z-shaped career path.🗣️ Owner of a CEO/Executive coaching private practice.💡 Founder of PILOT: 10 years ago, I put my life's savings into building a company that would provide better solutions to build leaders at all levels.💻 Remote work early adopter: PILOT has been remote-first from day one; I've been featured in a book on the topic, and we have a fantastic culture still.🤩 Leader builder: Leadership Studies were a focus in college, and I get the most satisfaction helping people achieve their full potential as leaders.🌎 Civic-minded: Running a business that’s good for all stakeholders, including our customers, crew, communities, and the planet.Personally…🗽 New Yorker: Born in Texas, raised in Colorado but proud to call NYC my home for 17 years.🐾 Dog dad to Jetson: My 1-year-old mini American Eskimo, who I'm told looks like "AI" in pictures as he's so cute (see picture below!)✈️ Aviation geek: I love aviation, and two career stops were in the industry, including working on spy planes for the military (yes, that inspired PILOT’s name).🏳️🌈 LGBTQ: As a proud gay man, I was involved in the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, founded a global ERG and now own a certified LGBTQ-owned business.💼 Entrepreneur: Since I was a kid, I knew I loved business (Office Depot was like Disney World for me!), tho being an entrepreneur was never in the plans.⛰️ Adventure Seeker: I spend my holidays exploring new places, am closing in on visiting all 50 USA States, and have a goal to see as many countries as my age.🎤 Aspiring stand-up comedian: I admire this talent in others and would love to pursue it more one day –I love entertaining an audience!
